Cutting through the noise
Turning complex change into clear,
actionable communication for frontline teams

As part of a ten-year supply chain transformation, a major supermarket was upgrading and investing behind the scenes. But process change alone wouldn’t deliver the shift in behaviour required to take them to the next level.

 

To succeed, they needed to engage colleagues across a large, dispersed workforce and create a mindset of ownership and empowerment, not just compliance. With multiple shift patterns, busy schedules and a highly operational environment, traditional communications risked being ignored. Any materials needed to be eye-catching, practical and action-orientated to cut through.

The approach

We created a visual identity to bring the transformation to life:

  • Aligning leadership early on the desired outcomes and principles for the approach

  • Developing three distinct visual concepts designed to capture attention and support behaviour change

  • Refining and developing the chosen concept into a suite of engaging materials

  • Creating flexible templates so local teams could adapt the materials for their own environments.

The impact

​The final approach provided a clear, consistent and visually compelling way to support the transformation – helping teams understand not just what was changing, but why, and encouraging greater ownership at a local level.
